Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), the reaccreditation process requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards in four basic areas: Policy and Procedures, Administration, Operations and Support Services.
As part of the assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments at a public information session, Monday, October 18th, 2021, at 4:30PM. The session will be conducted in the City of Huntington Woods, City Hall Commission Room located at 26815 Scotia Rd., Huntington Woods, MI 48070. The public information session will be held virtually via a video-conferencing platform (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or similar) which will be set-up for communication with the CALEA Assessment Team.
Agency employees, and members of the community are also invited to offer comments by calling the Huntington Woods Department of Public Safety at 248.541.1180 on Monday, October 18th, 2021, between the hours of 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Phone calls received by the agency will be transferred to a member of the CALEA Assessment Team for comment.
Telephone comments, as well as appearances at the public information session are limited to ten (10) minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with CALEA standards.
